Unwanted Comments

No matter what the situation may be it a family dinner, or a wedding reception there always has to be those few that just seem to ruin it. Now we have to put up with all the garbage comments along with the one uncle who gets too drunk and too loud. Comments are great. I love getting them as much as the next girl. It's nice to hear that other people share your views on things, or that someone got a good giggle over something, or that there are other people out there that feel the same way you do and are there to let you know you're not alone. Or even just a friendly hello every so often. But for all these anonymous comments going on and a lot of spam it gets me angry. If your not going to tell me who you are, what your doing here or how you got here, or what you thought about what I had to say then go away. This is not a place for you. Thank you very much.

Monday Madness

A little late, but here we go

Another week of potpourri....... Have fun!

1. Do you own a dishwasher (and if not, do you even want one), or do you have to do your dishes by hand? I have a dishwasher, but still do some by hand.
2. Do you put your dishes away immediately after washing them? No
3. In the warm weather, do you like hanging your laundry out on the clothesline to dry, or do you prefer a dryer? I prefer the clothesline, but still use the dryer.
4. How many loads of laundry are done in your household each week? OH MY! I have no clue, I'm going to guess Adam does about 3 loads a day? I don't really pay attention. All I know is I always have clean clothes. Thanks hunny!
5. Do you own a pet? If so, do you buy them presents for holidays? Do you consider your pet(s) spoiled? If you don't own one, do you think you will one day? I have two fish. No I don't buy them presents, but I do decorate their tank for every holiday :)
6. It's Friday evening and you're planning your weekend. What's on your agenda? If I had money, well then I'd take a trip somewhere, visit people, see new things. Since I don't have money maybe some tv, a few games. Boring.

Warning... rant ahead... oh and a 911 story

I just DO NOT understand how people can be so stupid as to get so drunk that they can not function properly. I'm not a drinker. I have been drunk a few times, but always have been in a safe place. I didn't have to walk home. etc. My dad is an alcoholic. I have no sympathy what so ever for alcoholics. Maybe it's because I've lived the past 13 years with a dad who has totalled a car, ended up in jail, has lied to me countless times, has been told over and over he needs help, who has admitted over and over he needs help, but still continues to drink. I've told my mom and my grandparents numerous times that I am not happy with him living here, I've come home to a smoke filled kitchen three times now to find him sleeping. I have two small children I have to look out for and I don't want them to be subjected to this kind of behaviour. Yet nobody listens to Jennifer. I've had enough of this bullshit. So last night My dad is out side on the porch passed out. When I go out there he starts talking nonsense. He was trying to ask if somebody had called me. I don't know. Anyways... enough is enough. The next time he makes me mad enough I will pack up my children and go somewhere else until he is gone, or gets help. Maybe then someone will listen to me. So my mom and I were sitting out there around 11:30pm when this older man I'm going to guess he's in his late 60's early 70's comes stumbling down the sidewalk(on the other side of the street). I say to my Mom "Is this guy drunk or is he or does he have a disability or something ( the way he was walking he could have had CP or something) ? When he gets a little closer he's really starting to stagger. Then I just had to say " this guy better not fall" sure enough not even 10 steps later he falls to the ground. I grab the phone and call 911. It's dark and I explain the the ambulance guy what I have seen and he instructs me to go over there. " Do you feel you could be in any danger" "can you tell how old he is, does he appear to be bleeding or hurt? he says. Um gee how am I suppose to know if I am in any danger...there is a guy laying on the grass I don't know if he's crazy or has a knife or a gun or whatnot. So I get to the man and hollar " sir are you okay" and he raises his arm in the air. All the while I'm telling the man on the phone what's going on. My mom and my dad also come over with me and they talk to the guy and try to help him up. We ask him if he's been drinking and sure enough yes he has. He couldn't stand up and was wabbling all over. The guy on the phone asks me if we need the ambulance. Well I'm not sure, he just seems drunk, well they send out an ambulance, and two cop cars to check on him. Over and over I'm telling my stupid drunk father to go home he's not helping any. By the time they got there, the drunk man had already stumbled into his house. I tell the guy on the phone this and tell him, I'm not sure if he made it in okay or not and I was not going up to the house, he could have fallen down the stairs for all I know!
So the 911 team arrives and go in to check on the man. He's fine he's cooking something to eat. To which I say great. we'll be calling soon then to report a fire!

Luckily that didn't happen.

Eye Colour Personality Test & Other weekend news

You chose brown eyes.
Brown eyed people are normally very romantic.
You love to daydream, and sometimes you get
confused with your own fantasies over reality.
You are pretty outgoing, but some days, all you
want to be, is alone, reading, or thinking by
yourself. You have many talants, and you will
probably have a very important job when you're
older.
Take The Eye color personality test

Sounds pretty accurate to me. Except for maybe the "very important job part" However in my opinion being a mom is a pretty important job. But I'm not older yet! Hee hee...
So this is the end of the weekend. l I didn't win the ten thousand at bingo last night. But I did win. Are you ready for this! A whopping $7.00 wooo hooo, am I good or what? Mom and I went back again this morning/afternoon and won $63.00

I just put Megan to bed it's now 7:20pm and everyone else is gone out so basically, I am home alone. What do I do? I cut my hair. I took a good 3 inches off the back. And now my hair is all one length. What sucks is I need to get a hairdresser to put in some layers. Being a hairdresser myself, it's hard for me to go to another stylist. In my whole life I've only been to maybe two real salons to get my hair cut, once when I was about four years old so I had no control over it, and the other when I was about 15 and I cried for months because they butchered my hair. My cousin is a hairdresser but she's now also a highschool teacher, so it's hard for her to find some time to cut my hair. I wish I could grow some extendable arms so that I could just do it myself, because for what I want done I don't want to pay $80.00 for. I've already done the majority of the haircut. Sigh... decisions decisions...

Speaking of decisions, who's idea was it to decide to let Connor go away? I miss him and wish he was home. I miss my cuddly mornings and screaming afternoons. I miss being asked every five minutes for a freezie, or a cookie. Although Megan has asked me three times today for a "cook cook" which I am assuming means "cookie" I haven't heard from my grandmother yet, so I don't know how things are going. I hope they call soon.

Okay well I have rambled on long enough here, and if there is anyone still here God love ya, you can wake up now and go on over to someone elses place that has something interesting to say. Like this person maybe. I really enjoy this site and laugh and cry almost every time I read it. She's such a great writer and her Mary is SO darn cute!

Weekend blahs

So I have recovered from last night. I think. I still have this uneasy feeling about me and I just can't figure out what it is. I feel blah. I had bad dreams last night about Connor and I am missing him. But am enjoying how quiet it has been. This morning I had my coffee, played with Megan. Visited a few of my favourite bloggers. Cleaned up our Oral B toothbush holdersince it was in storage for awhile until we bought new Brush Heads which we did yesterday. And I have just filled my hair with Tizz No Frizz gel and am waiting until 3:00pm comes around because I am going to bingo. Tonight there is a draw for $10,000 and I have my name in there quite a few times. So fingers crossed! That's my Saturday.

What did you do?

My night

I just had a heck of a night. See with Connor gone up North. Adam and I decided it would be the perfect time to put Megan into Connors room. So this morning when we were awoken at 8:00am Adam gets out the tools and gets to work. He gets the crib down, and we very awkwardly manage to get it into Connors room. Set it up and with only a few scratches on the walls. Then we went out for the day. Probably mistake number one, because Megan didn't get her nap today. So we get home and I keep showing her her crib is now in Connors room to help when it's bedtime. Then it starts. I get her in her jammies give her her bottle and get her ready for bed. Bring her in Connors room put her in her crib and then she totally freaks out. She cries and cries and then of course pukes! I didn't even let her cry for 4 minutes! Did I mention that Adam is at work my dad is gone out and my mom is at work and of course Nanny and Papa are gone with Connor. Yeah. I'm here by myself. Already saddened by the idea of my baby leaving my room in the first place. * A LITTLE BACKGROUND NOTE: I cried when Adam put Connor in his own room too. Same feeling I guess that I got once the kids stopped breastfeeding and other people got to feed them, Yes I agree it's ( I'm) nuts and I shouldn't feel that way... But what can I say* Anyways... So I call Adam at work to tell him " Yeah thanks a lot. Put her in the other room when I have to be here by myself to take care of her this way" then I hung up. I went back to Megan and tried rocking her to sleep. She cuddled and then almost fell asleep, so I put her back in her crib. Nope she wouldn't have it. Cried and cried. So I try and put her play pen up in my room where her crib use to be. She hated that idea even more. So I rocked her some more. Try again. Crib... Play pen... Crib... Play pen. Finally I couldn't take it anymore, and I almost started to cry. I called Adam back at work and told him to get home and move the crib back in our room. So he did.

When he got home, he tried to put her to sleep in Connors room. ( As if I wasn't really trying and he could do any better) Then he tried to put her in our room in the playpen. Even turned off all the lights and rocked her a bit. She just wouldn't have it. She screamed and screamed. So he finally put her crib back in our room. Cursing the whole time. " if she goes to sleep right away if I put this crib back in here I'm going to scream" he'd say. " I hate to give up so easily after only a few hours of trying" he'd say. Pfft.. Whatever just do it. Half of me thinking yes he is right and the other half of me ( the crazy half) thinking. YAY I get my baby back :)

Well he finished ( with a lot of scratches on the walls) I gave her her bottle put her in bed gave her a kiss and she went RIGHT to sleep. Poor baby!

Go ahead say it... I'm nuts, I have no backbone. I'm a wimp.

He's off again!

Connor left this morning at about 8:00am. He packed everything he could think of, told me he loved me and that if I missed him I could draw him a "while he was away picture" as he handed me his going away picture. He told me he was really excited and to get everything ready for him for school for when he gets back. I hugged him tight, and told him to be good and to be careful. He's gone for 11 days with his great grandparents on his annual camping trip up North. The trip he's been making "lists" for since Christmas. The one trip he looks forward to as his time away with his Nanny and Papa. He'll be fishing and swimming and playing and having fun out in the bush in the middle of nowhere. I can not call them. I need to wait for them to go into a town to call me. I always worry when he's away. But I worry more when he's gone up North because it's a 6 hour drive and I can't just hop in the car and go get him. I've never even been there. I can't just pick up the phone to see if he's okay. Tears fill my eyes when they finally do call. And 11 days is just a long time!

He'll be back on the 5th of September.

It's a good day!

My mom went to bingo this afternoon and is coming home to hand me $1250.00 :) that's right she won $3000.00!! But I owe her some money so I'm not getting the full 1500.00 whatever. It's all going to bills anyway.

AND

I've just been talking to Kate and she's got some excellent news and so you should all go over there now and wish her luck and tell her she's going to be great!

Are you ready?

Adam and I have just went through each and every one of these castaways. (click title to go see for yourself) I'm with Blackbird the tiny one in the middle is already pissing me off too :) And Brian the Ivy League student who's favourite colour is deep teal. Blech! And in the picture they are already wearing their buffs. If this is infact the tribes. I'm thinking I like yellow. But who knows... That can all change.

Much MUCH Better!

Okay everyone you can stop laughing now. I got a new keyboard. Did you really think I was going to go a whole day without one? Today we dropped the kids off at the inlaws and went shopping without all the whining and crying moaning and groaning. We got an outfit for Connor for school. There I said it. School! Do you think that will help any? Saying it over and over? Hmmm. We also picked up a few needed items including a new keyboard. By the time we got back to Adam's mom and dads I had such a terrible headache that I just crashed on the couch for about an hour. Did I ever tell you that my inlaws are the greatest? They played with the kids until I woke up and kept them upstairs so that they would wake me. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such great inlaws :)

When we got home I took some more tylenol, and put an ice pack on my head. My headache finally went away and I made dinner. Had a shower and showered the kids. The dishes are not done, nor will I be doing them tonight. Nope tonight I am going to relax and take it easy. Sound like a plan? Sure does to me!

Tomorrow however we have to bring our car back to the place that "fixed" it. The A/C went kaputz and the paint is bubbling. We are not happy.

Now for ten on Tuesday!

Monday Madness

This week's questions are totally unrelated to one another; just a 'pot pourri' of randomness! Have a great week and thanks for playing!

1. When putting groceries away, do you rotate your food so your newest items (cans and such) are in the back, and older food in the front? By the time I get to go grocery shopping the fridge is pretty much empty see what I mean!

2. Do you own a digital camera? If so, how long have you had one? If not, do you plan to purchase one soon? By the picture above you can probably guess that yes I indeed have a digital camera that my wonderful husband agreed to buy me for our anniversary last year I think.

3. How do you store your precious photos? On the computer, developed and in photo albums, and on cd

4. It's 6:00 a.m. and you've just lost power due to a severe thunderstorm; they say it will probably take at least 12 hours before power will be restored; what do you do? Wait until the kids wake up and then probably very carefully drive to my inlaws who have gas stove so we can at least eat.

5. How many times a year do you (or does someone dear to you) wax your automobile? Hmmm. Well both Adam and I wash the car about 5 or 6 times per summer.

6. Gas prices; what can we say except they've reached an all-time high. How are you dealing with this? Well at $101.5/litre we pretty much bitch about it as much as we want but really there isn’t much we can do about it. Although we’re not taking any road trips any time soon. Right now today gas went down to a whopping 98.6cents/liter

7. Have you ever purchased a book or cd twice, forgetting that you already had it? No

Saturday, August 20, 2005

Mr. Clean

Is it just me, or does everyone repeatedly sing the Mr. Clean jingle while they are cleaning the bathroom or kitchen or whatever it is you're cleaning? I was just using this in hopes to get rid of the nasty smell in there due to having one certain 4 year old boy who now has maybe a little too much confidence in using the potty. Why boys don't have some kind of special attatchment to use the toilet is beyond me. Aim for the water would ya!

Friday, August 19, 2005

It's Friday!

Here ya go Katy. My SPF this week. Something that gets me worked up, stressed out, and worn out. What you see here is a mess. Created by mostly well me. Adam is infact cleaning it up right now as I type. We have two empty milk containers. I'm actually on my way to buy more. Empty juice water and Smirnoff coolers. Dirty dishes galore, over there on the stove on the left is dinner from last night that I never put away. Miscellanous items up there on the shelf that do not belong there. Grrr why am I such a messy person? I was thinking of posting another picture of the kids, but you all know (if you have kids) that they very easily make you all these things. The other thing that gets me stressed out is the huge three digit minus number in my bank account. Happy Friday all :) CLICK HERE TO SEE PHOTO

OH NO!!!

Click on the letter for a larger view.
**click on the letter for a larger view**
It came. The letter I have been dreading all summer. How could they do this to me? Don't they know I am in denial about this whole thing? It caught me totally off guard. They didn't even have the nerve to put a return address on the envelope so that I didn't have to open it. No instead right there across the midddle of the envelope is this cute little sticker addressed to Mr& Mrs (insert my last name here)with a little turtle and cat next to it. Don't they know I do not like cats? So I open it up thinking it is an invitation or something to Adam's grandparents anniversary party. But NOOoo. I read the first line. My eyes filled up with tears and my stomache suddenly is filled with butterflies. I keep reading through the tears. My hands are shaking. How am I ever going to get through this if I can't even read the damn letter!

Then I notice the date. Do you realize how close September 6th is? DO YOU! NO? Well it's 19 days away! NINETEEN!!! My eyes are so filled with tears now I can barely read the last line. But I do and can you believe what it says? " After I have all the details you may leave your child at school for the remainder of the session" WHAT!! Is she kidding me? She really expects me to LEAVE! There is no way on Gods green earth I am LEAVING my child there! This woman must be coo coos if she thinks I'm just going to leave! Sheesh!

So I fold the letter back up and stuff it quickly back into the envelope and I hand it over to Adam. The tears are still in my eyes. He reads it with such ease. The bugger.

I mean it people I do not think I can handle this. I am NOT exagerating here. Do you realize I have never left my children under the supervision of ANYONE besides their grandparents and/or Aunt? And even then I call home to make sure they are okay, or I make sure I know what and where they are at all times. Now I have to leave my child with a teacher who also has only God knows how many other children to look after. What if.... okay I won't go there. No what if's I've already said them before.

Now what do I do? I have 19 days people tell me how am I going to get through this. Okay my eyes are filling up again. I better slip back into denial RIGHT NOW!

Pirate Monkey's Harry Potter Personality Quiz
Harry Potter Personality Quiz
by Pirate Monkeys Inc.

Who are you?

This morning
I woke up to a certain little boy standing at my head asking me for food. I told him to go watch tv. I did not want to wake up. Then I told him to take my pop which I had sitting on my bedside table. Rotten mother I am eh? Well I learned my lesson quick. He took the pop and of course because he can be nice to his sister. Offered her some pop and spilled it all over the floor. So I got up ( what other choice did I have) so I clean up the pop, then go and make my coffee. Change Megan's bum and look at her eye. Last night my Nana (dad's mom) watched the kids while I took my mom to bingo for her birthday. When I got home my grandmother told me that Connor and Megan had pucked heads and Megan may have a black eye. I asked her which eye. Well it turns out it was the same eye that Connor had thrown a hard plastic toy spider-man at earlier that day. Sure enough her eye is black see. So hopefully the rest of the day goes better. Although if you're in my area and need to buy gas. You might not be so happy.
This is what the front page of the newspaper read. Edited of course

Gas 101

Locals learn the pain of paying $1 a litre

– Prices went above the $1 per litre mark for regular gasoline for the first time in (my city) Tuesday.

In light of the inflated gasoline prices across the country, the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) has asked the federal government to commit to tax relief on retail gasoline.

Some guy, director of public relations at CAA (my city) said all of Canada is affected by high gas prices, especially border cities.

“We’ve always insisted that gas prices be lower in border cities to prevent locals from going across to the border, for their gas,” he said.“It’s important to keep money in the local community, but if people spend their money in the U.S., it will hurt the Canadian market.”

This guy said those who travel to (my city) may feel they have to cut back on their spending while on holidays.

“People will still want to travel to (my city) because the city has a lot to offer, but they may have to cut back on other areas of their travel.”

He believes Canadians are angered by the lack of return investment that has been provided by the government.

According to CAA, Canadians paid about $5 billion in taxes at the pumps last year in federal excise taxes and GST and only seven per cent was invested back into roads and highways.

“Canadians would be more accepting of high gas taxes if more of that money was being pumped back into road services such as construction and maintenance,” he said.

This guy who is, general manager of the Parks Commission links the decline in American tourists, in part, to the high pump prices.

he said U.S., visitation is at about 55 per cent, down from about 65 per cent in recent years.

CAA is calling on the federal government to charge the GST only on the pre-tax price of gasoline, as well as to offer tax relief when retail gasoline prices rise above 85 cents per litre. On average, Canadian taxes represent 40 to 50 per cent of what Canadians pay at the pumps.

And he's right. I live in a high tourism area. Things here are already expensive because of that. You can't go to a restaurant and pay a normal $3.00 for say a hamburger. No you end up paying $8.00 instead. You have to pay to park pretty much every where, you have to do this and that and the money really racks up. Like hotels. $1400.00 and up a night! That's craziness. And gas prices are always going up and never seem to come down. We filled our car the other day and it cost $40.00 and I believe we got that at 93.6/litre which at the time was low.
Anyways... That's what's going on in my world right now. How about you?

And while I have you here. Please tell me if you'd rather have blogger comments or Haloscan?

This that and whatever

You know I really hate when I have to think of a title for my posts. I never know what to call them. I'm just sitting here, and when it comes to posting, you're going to get whatever is rolling off my mind right then. It's up to you the reader, whether or not you want to read it or not.

Right now I'm sitting here with nothing really to talk about. I'm listening to songs I've downloaded and since it's night and Connor is sleeping only about 7 feet away from me. They are soft songs. I like a very wide variety of music. I like everything from U2 to Shania Twain, I like UB40 and the Petshop Boys, I like Faith Hill and the Cranberries, I like Enya and Ricky Martin. I like Pearl Jam and Counting Crows. I like Chris Isaak and Brittany Spears. If the song does something for my ears.... I'll listen to it. If it doesn't I'll turn the channel, or pop in another CD. However, what I watch on TV is a totally different story. What I watch on TV is pretty limited to people redecorating their homes or, people trying to "survive" on an island, or someone getting their main artery back up in working order. It's just who I am. If I want to watch a cutsie little love story instead of ding dongs standing up on stage trying to tell some not so funny jokes. Well then. That's why watching TV with Adam is a bit difficult, we like a few of the same things, but mostly not. Music however we like a lot of the same stuff. Although he doesn't like it when I insist on listening to Pearl Jam. haha. But I don't like his They Might Be Giants much. So we're even.

However I since the kids have been born, I find that my "free time" is spent infront of this little box. Before Connor was born, I'd sit infront of the TV and play video games until all hours of the night morning. I use to watch soaps too. Y&R every single day at 4:30pm. What am I doing now at 4:30pm, usually thinking of what I'm going to make for supper, and if the kids are going to go to bed at a decent hour or not. Now when they are in bed, I find myself here. In blogland. I enjoy reading what people have to say. I don't like reading books much though is that odd?

So what's been going on in my world since Sunday morning? Lets see. I went to bingo and didn't win. But I did win Jenny's Quiz I learned that my eighty something ( i think she was 89) year old cousin has passed away and I have a funeral to go to on Thursday. Connor came home from camping with his great grandparents and I learn that he was bad the whole time he was there. Him and my 10 year old cousin. This afternoon we had a yummy home made lasagna for lunch that my mom made. Tomorrow is my mom's 48th birthday. She always has had bad luck birthdays. Elvis died on her birthday, some king or something was killed, her grandmother died on her birthday. It's just one of those kind of "Friday the 13th kind of things" but it's mom's birthday. So today we had cake, and watermelon, and had a nice lunch ( even though she made it) . I've dealt with very Cranky Connor and Miss I'm so independent Megan. I've cleaned up poop in the shower ( Megans) I've tried to talk to Connor about his behavior lately and how it isn't acceptable. I've answered the phone a few times, and only once has it been for me. I broke a nail trying to open a box of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Thankfully I had one handy. Connor wrote all over my wooden kitchen table in permanent blue magic marker. I've felt edgy and irritable, and wondered if my post partum depression is creeping back up on me.

I've been sitting at this computer now since about 8:00pm and now it is 10:11pm and I really need a snack :) But before I go... I have this question.
Can anyone tell me what kind of tree this is? Click pics to enlarge.

Can you see the green things?

This is what they look like fallen off the tree and all dried up. They are VERY hard. and almost impossible to open up. They stink too. very strong smelling green things.

Lucky Girl

I had the best time last night. Adam and I went to see Chris Isaak. But before the concert we did some looking around at all the shops, that we'd have to sell both of our arms and legs at unreasonably high prices to afford anything in. There were some pretty fancy clothes, there was some very yummy fudge (which we stood and watched a guy make) There was also artists and performers around. We watched this one woman paint a lovely picture of yellow tulips. There was another guy and he was the 'Human Statue' He was actually pretty freaky, but good. Then there were palm readers and the signature analysis woman. I would have liked to see what she had to say about me, but Adam wouldn't let me dish out the $10.00. Oh well.

What he did buy for me was a four leaf clover pendant!! for my necklace. I was so excited I forgot all about the signature lady. I just love four leaf clovers :)

I am SO kicking myself for not bringing my camera. Okay get over it already.
Okay now on with the show. My goodness the man can sing! Not to mention he's not bad to look at haha. And that we did. He was not even 10 feet away from us. Then when he came out into the audience he was as close to me as this computer screen. The show was amazing. He played all of our favourite songs! He made us laugh dance and sing. We didn't get up and go up to the stage like everyone else though. We were happy to just sit back and enjoy the show. I do know at one time Chris and I made definate eye contact. But DAMNIT for not bringing the camera! After the concert we went to the Grand Buffet for dinner. We enjoyed prime rib, salmon, veggies, pasta, yummy desserts ( which actually weren't all that yummy) but oh well. We talked about the show and had a fantastic time. Then it all had to end and we came home. To find me with a very upset tummy and crashed as soon as I took three tums and hit the pillow. Megan was sweet enough to sleep in until 9:30am. YAY! Connor has been gone camping for the last two days. He'll be coming home tomorrow. It's a good weekend!

Before and After Car Pics

Here's pics of the car all fixed and shiny.. try and look past the shadows It was a cloudy day.

Get Crackin!!

Why do I do this to myself. I know that I can not eat eggs, yet I do it every so often anyway. Before I had my kids I was eating eggs almost every second day. I love them. I like them fried, I like them scrambled I love them devilled. Then I got pregant ( with Connor) Every single time I'd eat them I'd puke. . I couldn't even stand the smell and I was puking my guts out. But it was like that with many things I was getting sick everyday even if I didn't have eggs. So a year or two after he was born, I thought mmmm egg sandwich. Turned out I was still unable to eat them. Here I am almost 4 and a half flipping years later and I STILL can not eat eggs. What is up with that! I mean I can physically eat them. But now my tummy feels like something has climbed in there and is hanging on for dear life. It's almost hard to breathe. My stomache feels like one giant knot. I'm sweating and I feel like I can puke, but I don't think I will. Grrrr. Why why whyyyy?????

And while I have you here JENNY has a really cool quiz to do over at her place. Go and play! I said GO!

Then when you're done.. go check out Rosie O'Donnell's blog.

Back to back

The past few months I have been in a lot of pain. I can barely walk, my hip hurts so bad that I makes sitting almost impossible sometimes. I've been just "living with it" the past few months. But I just can't take it anymore. I've put ice on it however long I'm suppose to. I've exercised it. I've been sleeping with just one pillow, and I've been avoiding lifting bending carrying as much as I possibly can. Nothing is working.
When I got pregnant for Connor I threw out my back. I didn't know I was pregnant at the time. Because I wanted to use my brother's DR.HO machine I took a test because I was a little late and thought well better see. Sure enough I was. For the first two to three weeks I became part of the floor. I slept there, ate there, spent my entire time on the floor. I had to tell my family and friends the exciting news from the floor. Doesn't make receiving hugs very easy! So when I was able to move I went to my Uncle who is a chiropractor and he adjusted me and instructed me to do this and that. I did it. As I got more pregnant the pain eventually went away. I had Connor and for the longest time I was fine. Until he got to be about 25-30lbs then it came back. But I did what I was told and I got better. Especially when he started walking that was a big help.

This time it's very different. I have hurt my back like I did that time before, but it's never gotten that bad. This time the pain is in a whole different area. It's most painful at the top of my right hip. I freeze up and can't move. If I am walking and I turn my head a certain way I lock up and can't move and almost fall down. Yeah it's pretty bad. So I've decided to see another doctor. I'll also talk with my family doctor because having 2 c-sections with two needles stuck into my back can't be all that great for it. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but my period has not been normal either and I've been having plenty of muscle spasms in my tummy. It's time I get checked. I have an appointment to see my doctor in October. I know that's still quite a ways away, but I've also called another doctor and I'm going to go see him too. I just can't go on like this anymore.

Sorry that kinda sounds like a huge complaining session there! But this is where I can do my complaining :)

We still haven't gotten our car back as of tonight. It should be ready but Adam had to work at 4pm and the car wasn't going to be ready until after that. So we'll hopefully get it back tomorrow.

I've also added my countdown to the side bar. Can you tell I'm ready for FALL!!!

And now we have Monday Madness... It's been awhile since I've done one of these, mainly because I keep forgetting what day of the week I'm in.

What would you do in the following situations?

1. The store clerk undercharges you for an item you purchase? I say nothing and pay the amount I'm told.
2. The cashier gives you change for a fifty dollar bill when you only gave her a twenty, and you don't realize it until you're out the door? I smile and put the money in my wallet.
3. You see your best friend's husband/wife with another woman/man at a neighborhood restaurant? I go up and start asking all kinds of questions about my best friend, then I proceed to call him/her on my cell phone and ask her/him to join us!
4. Your 15 year old asks you if you ever tried an alcoholic beverage before you were of legeal drinking age (and you have)? I tell him/her that yes I did and I got drunk a lot and I got into a LOT of trouble, that if I only knew then what I know now my life wouldn't be filled with such regretful memories. That if he/she wants to live.(meaning I brought them in this world I can take them out!) They will not drink EVER!!
5. You find a one hundred dollar bill laying on the floor of a department store? I bend down, pick it up look around to see if anyone is searching for anything and if not, then I put it in my pocket and walk away.

~Some of you may find that my answers are quite wrong... actually you'd be right. I've been in situations somewhat like these and I've always given it back, spoke up, and was honest about it. But the answers I put is what I'd really like to have done. Except maybe number 3 & 4. Those would be the truth!~

16 months and growing!

Today Megan had her checkup. She's almost 17 months old now well she will be on Aug 15th. I just can't believe it! You know I started blogging before I even had her! I really wish my archives wouldn't have went kaploey! It would be neat to go back and check what I had to say back then. Oh well. If you were around for that and remember cool! If not :( sorry. Well anyways.. on with the stats. 16 months old 25pounds, 31 inches tall and head circumference 18 1/2 inches. How did she react today when she got her needle? Same as the last 4 or 5 times. Screamed like there was no tomorrow and big big tears. She just does not like doctors. Our regular doctor was away today. So we had my old doctor. The one who delivered me and took care of me and even took care of Connor when he was born. Imagine that eh? Well she didn't like him much either. She's was all like is that a stethescope? Keep that thing away from me! What the heck do you think your doing man, get those big old hands off of my legs. She sure was happy to get out of there I tell ya. So was I. It was so hot in there. So then we took a trip to the store and bought some milk, and some treats. She's happy now since I gave her a freezie. I wouldn't let her have a sucker in the car. So there she is my big girl. I must find a way to stop this growing. It's just going by way to quick for me!

Can you feel the excitement??

It's been a very busy last few days. I haven't had much time to get at the computer at all. Our trip to Michigan wasn't very exciting, but since some of you have asked I'll tell you what we did. When we arrived at Adam's Grandmother's house about 5:45pm Friday. We had a very yummy bbq steak dinner. Afterwards we headed to our hotel took a nice relaxing dip in the pool then went to sleep. Exciting huh! Then in the morning (Sat) we went to Grandmas for some pizza. Then we went shopping and then back to the hotel for yet another swim. Come dinner time we headed out to Adam's Aunts house for the family picnic. Which was the whole purpose of this trip. We had a lovely time. The food was very yummy, and the kids had fun playing with the cousins they never see. It was Adam's grandparents ( and the rest of the family) first time meeting Megan. They've met Connor twice before. So after the picnic we went back to the hotel yet again and went yup.. you guessed it swimming :) Then bed. Sunday morning we woke up, packed up and headed home. We stopped one last time in Flint to do some shopping at the Target just off the highway. Then stopped for dinner on the Canadian side at Pizza Hut. Came home and went to bed. So exciting. The drive was nice though, and even though I DO NOT like the Elantra at all! I don't know why.. I just don't find that it drives nice, it's quite uncomfortable and well. It's just not our Cavalier. The only nice thing about it was that it was clean, and it had a/c. We still have the Elantra. Our car will not be ready until the end of the week. It's been very hot here the last two days. Adam's been helping his parents paint their pool. In 34 C or 94F without the humidy factored in it was HOT. And being out in the sun in the cement pool with the sun blaring down on the white paint... well let me just say I'm glad I wasn't one of the ones painting haha. I had to take care of the kids! Then after the pool was done, we needed to help Adam's brother move, then pick up a new dresser for my mom. A lot of running around. But that's okay. And it's done. The kids have been great though, the drive to Michigan was a piece of cake. We put the dvd player up so Connor could watch movies, and Megan happily watched along as well. When she slept Connor slept. It wasn't bad at all. I mean look at them. Do they look all that bad to you?

Ahhh yes... looks CAN be decieving!

Clouds

We had some threatening weather last night. I got some awesome pictures of the clouds. Click them to enlarge. These were all taken in my front yard

And I'm so glad that somewhat of the colours turned out. They were so vibrant!

We NEVER have clouds like this here. It's very very rare. I'm betting that just after these clouds left me and headed toward Buffalo, they got some pretty amazing storm. I sat out and watched the lightning and tried to get some of it on film, but it just wasn't that fork lighting ya know!

Anyways... here are a few pictures from our trip to Michigan as well :)

Here we have make a funny smile face me, and the kids sitting on the swing at the kids Great Grandma & Grandpas.

And Connor on the monkey bars for the first time ( Adam said he was barely holding him)
