FINALLY!!!

I just got this sent to me via e-mail. I love my weather forecasts!

AN ARCTIC RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL SETTLE OVER THESE REGIONS TONIGHT ACCOMPANIED WITH MAINLY CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS. THIS WILL PRODUCE IDEAL CONDITIONS FOR FROST..PREDOMINATELY FOR INLAND LOCALES WHERE THE MERCURY SHOULD DIP WELL BELOW THE FREEZING MARK DURING THE NIGHTTIME HOURS. FROST WILL BE LESS LIKELY FOR AREAS WITHIN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE MODERATING EFFECTS OF THE GREAT LAKES AND ALSO WITHIN LARGER URBAN CENTRES

I'm so exited. This means that all that yucky pollen, bee's and and especially mosquito's will finally be GONE! I had a dream the other night that we were stuck in a snow storm. Looks like it won't be long now!!!

Last night was crazy. Megan was up until 1:00am with a sore tummy. How do you explain to a three year old not to tighten her tummy and pelvic muscles so that she can release the gas she needs to stop her tummy from hurting? You sit on the stool on the bathroom floor for a good hour and rock her side to side, and then have her stand as you hug her and rock side to side, then sit her on the potty half asleep, yet still crying of a sore tummy. So you pick her back up and rock her side to side and side to side. All the while rubbing her back and listening to the gas travel within her. Finally she lets out a tiny yet very productive toot, and wait to see if she'll finally poop. But with no luck back to bed we go. Try and get Daddy to move over so we can get back in, and then finally fall to sleep. Awake when Connor comes down to say he's awake and look at the clock. Tell him to go watch T.V until I can get up. Wake up at 8:15am and make breakfast, and drink coffee after coffee to wake up. I'm LOVING my new programmable coffee maker btw :)

Have a shower and get kids ready for church. Come home make lunch, and then prepare the best spaghetti sauce I've ever made. While at church I saw a man that looks EXACTLY like THIS... so we watch the movie after lunch. Then we help the kids carve their pumpkins that my brother was super kind to buy for them. Eat dinner, clean up, and now it's time to get the kids bathed and into bed.

I will go to bed tonight and will remember to add an extra blanket to our beds because FINALLY!!! Fall has arrived and that means winter is just around the corner.

P.S... Only 57 days until Christmas!!!

Early Halloween!

Every year our campground holds a Halloween. Complete with trick-or-treating and a dance that follows. We usually go every year. We didn't last year, but we did this year. The kids had a blast. Megan especially. It was hard to keep up with her. She ran from trailler to trailler and back again. It's a pretty big campround and to be three years old I bet it's even bigger. Here are a few pictures of them and a preview of what actual Halloween is going to look like :)

Morning

Megan had me up at 5:30am today. Adam crawled into bed sometime around 6:30am and I finally woke up at 6:50am. To find the kids running around the house, going on about lost animals and how they have to help them find their mommy.

The sun wasn't even up yet. It's 7:25am right now and the sun still isn't quite up. As I look out my window I see there are bright amber and crimson clouds out there. You know the saying " red sky at night sailors delight, red sky in morning sailors warning" Yes it's suppose to rain today.

I'm sitting here with my coffee doing my best to wake up. Not only to be awake, but to be a mommy with a little bit of patience and not a horrible beast ready to attack. Megan has library time this morning, and afterwards I am picking up Connor for lunch from school. And I can assure you once that is done Adam will want to go to Best Buy or Future Shop or some other store which they sell movies and will buy his Transformers DVD. He and a friend had a whole discussion about WHICH set they were going to buy. How dare I suggest we wait and buy the movie for Connor for Christmas! What must I have been thinking!

Well.... the sun is nearly up now, the kids are dressed and I'm almost finished my first cup of coffee. Time to start our day. Hope you all have a good day!

Happy Thanksgiving

Art

Connor came home with this Thanksgiving card he made all by himself. I'm not sure if I should be worried or proud!
All I know is I could never draw a "cooked" turkey that good. If you look carefully you can see the arrow indicating it had been killed. He's six. Should I mention the time when he was three and we were at the zoo on a wagon ride for a christmas party. We were passing the deer and all the other kids are going awwww cute, and Connor yells out Yummy!! Oh yes he did!

Now this isn't as personalized as Connor's art, but Megan made this at library the other day and I thought I'd share it

Of course she only glued everything on there herself, but I thought it was cute. Last week they made apple pies.
inside the tiny pie tin is a kleenex with potpourri inside it. So cute and smells nice too.

Today they made this
Did you guess it was a space ship? You'd be right :) They counted down and headed to the moon. It was so cute watching them stomp around with big giant steps pretending they were on the moon, or a different planet.

Vampire?

Connor was going to be a Ninja Turtle for Hallowe'en. After today I'm thinking he should reconsider, and be a vampire?
