It's crazy how cold this winter has been. The poor kids just don't understand that it's too cold to go outside to play, then come summer it's too hot to be playing outside. Never would we have heard our parents mutter those words to us.
Megan's home from school today. She woke up, got dressed, got her snow pants, mittens, coat, hat, scarf, boots all on, went to school... stood in line when the bell rang, then started to cry. She does have a small cough and her class has been very sick, so I kept her home.
Had a chat with Connor's teacher yesterday. He's improving in his reading, and she's recommended that we put him into Track and Field when the time comes. She's quite impressed with his speed. She's amazed at how "busy" his brain is. He's constantly thinking and figuring things out.
I'm glad to be home from my most wonderful relaxing vacation, but I'm sure missing the sun and warmth. It took me awhile to get back into the swing of things. And I really would love to go on another vacation like that. I'm thinking travelling could become addicting!
Adam's job search has pretty much come to an end. He's starting school in February. He's going to be a
Personal Support Worker. With him going to school full time, there's not much room for me to go out and get a job. Until next year when Megan is in school full days. I'm still thinking however that winning the lottery surely would benefit us all greatly.
