Last Day and an Anniversary!

Today Adam and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It's incredible how long ten years can sound, yet how short it can feel. I wonder what the next ten will be like? Today we are taking the kids for the weekend to a fancy hotel, a ball game and out for dinner. We'll celebrate just the two of us in September when we go to see U2 which is our gift to each other.

Today is also the last day of school for both the kids and for Adam. Today Connor completes Gr.2, Megan completes Jr. Kindergarten and Adam is officially a PSW ( personal support worker) I am so proud of them all. Both the kids report cards were very impressive. Connor improving ten of his marks!! And Megan improved just as well. Adam had excellent all around evaluations also.

Today is definitely a great day!

Welcome!!

This little guy doesn't have a name yet, but he has a new home here with us. He came into our family about a week ago, but he didn't live in our house....

Today he has moved in with us due to certain circumstances. Isn't he cute! He was born March 24th 2009 so he's almost three months old. Megan wants to have a birthday party for him.



He's so funny! Here he is playing with himself in the mirror. Connor is still at school and he doesn't even know yet. I can't wait to see his face when he gets home!

Looking Forward, Remembering back

Well here we are, nearly the end of the school year. There are 7 school days left and it's incredible how fast it went by. It feels like just a week ago I was all nervous about Megan starting Junior Kindergarten. How I couldn't believe that Connor was starting Gr. 2. and here we are at the end of the year and it feels like it's just begun. It definitely has been a learning year. Connor progressed amazingly with his reading and writing. Megan has done well with learning to get along with others in the class.

I'm anxiously awaiting summer. Oh how sweet it will be to sleep in, and not have to wake up to an alarm clock. Even if I don't sleep in, I just hate getting up to an alarm clock. Oh and I can't even tell you how happy I will be not having to make two to three lunches every day. We can all eat together! The only thing I'm not looking forward to is of course the usual " I'm bored" " what can we do" ? but this summer the kids will have plenty of friends to play with Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and we have so much going on. The 26th will be Adam's and my 10th wedding anniversary and we're celebrating by taking the kids with us to a hotel, going to a baseball game, and having fun swimming in the pool. We're also looking forward to a week of camping, I'm looking forward to a few days away in Minnesota. We have concerts coming up, and hopefully job opportunities. Not only are the kids finished school on the 26th Adam is as well. This is going to be a great summer. Even though I just know it's going to go by way too fast. I hope to make the most of it.
