Goodbye 2005!

It snowed last night. And it snowed all day today. But the best thing about it. The fact that it was SNOWMAN snow! Our first snowman snow of the year and go figure the year is now finished.

All four of us were out there tonight and we built this little guy he's about 4 1/2 feet tall and is waiting for his hat and scarf.

We are all dressed in our p.j's and are ready to snack on some yummy cheesy bean dip, and some nachos, cheese and crackers and meat. Smoked oysters and mussels and shrimp.

From our house to yours we wish you a very

Thirteen Things about Jennifer

1. Christmas has come and gone and I feel like I've missed it. It just didn't FEEL like Christmas to me.

2. I have already taken down my tree and all the decorations around the house. That usually never happens before my birthday!

3. My birthday is in 13 more days!

4. I'm going to be turning 28. I'm not sure I like that age very much. It just sounds older and yet it just isn't 30. I don't know

5. My kids have been wonderful the past half of a day. There was no fighting at dinner, they actually played with some of their toys and only minimal fighting. Megan asked to go to bed at 7:20pm and has been asking to go to bed for the past few nights.Connor on the other hand, it's like pulling teeth!

6. I'm really liking my hair straightener I got for Christmas. My hair is so smooth and silky straight :)

7. My back has been sore though, and most of the day my foot is completely numb. I go back to the chiropractor tomorrow.

8. Tomorrow is also payday. Which means grocery day. Which means I will be buying ingredients for yummy New Years food. Things like Nacho dip,Pumpernickle bread dip etc.

9. Just before Christmas I made up a little gift basket with clementines and a Christmas card in it. I wrapped it up in nice red cellophane and brought it next door to our new neighbours. They weren't home so I left it by the mailbox. Christmas morning I woke up to find a sign on their kitchen window thanking us and wishing us a Merry Christmas. The sign is still up, So I stuck one to our kitchen window and wrote you are very welcome. I don't know if she saw it or not, cause my Papa took it down this morning. I really should go over and say hi in person.

10. I bought Adam a pair of jeans for Christmas. They didn't fit quite the way I like them to, so I brought them back. He picked out the DVD set Sin City instead. I like it better that he got something he really wanted for Christmas even though he had picked it out himself. Even though I don't like that movie

11. That's the day of my birthday the 11th ;)

12. I got word from Adams parents today that they are in Georgia. They're spending ALL of January in Florida. How nice eh!

13. Tomorrow I will be busy cleaning, and preparing my New Years yummies so I doubt I'll be back before the new year. * I could though who knows* but just in case I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Healthy New Year and best wishes to you all.

Elephants and Dragonflies

Some of you may know Tasha, some may not. I just recieved an email this morning learning of her mum's passing. She has posted about it on her site. If you'd like to go over there to pay your respects, click the title.

Tash we are thinking of you and your family and sending much love and prayers your way.

*Hugs*

363 Days till Christmas

We had a nice Christmas. It wasn't spectacular and it wasn't a total disaster. The kids woke up around 7:30am and we opened our gifts. The excitment in their eyes was so amazing to sit back and watch. One of the reasons being a mom is so special. The one thing that Connor said to me right after he finished opening his presents was " Mommy is it Easter now" OH BOY!

We had a yummy turkey dinner and then that was it. Few things happened that I wish didn't, but it just wouldn't be a special holiday at my house if something didn't go wrong. Oh well.

The past few days have been pretty much lazy days. Too much to cleaning to be done, and not enough energy to do it. Adam has been working crazy hours and that's just no fun. Today I think we'll go shopping and return the jeans I got for Adam and see if there are any good deals on anything we need.

Hope you all had a good Christmas and are ready for New Years. I know I'm looking forward to a new year. I hope it is better then this one was.

Cheerio!

Show and Tell

Blackbird was so kind this week to let me suggest something for Show and Tell. I wanted to see everyones coat. What you wear to cover up and keep warm in the winter, what you wear if it's warm out but just need to cover up.

Here I am in my coat. I just got back from bringing Connor to school. Today is his last day for two whole weeks. I don't know what I'm going to do with him for two whole weeks so any fun suggestions would be appreciated. It's the day before Christmas Eve and all week it has been snow snow snow. And what do I get today? RAIN! Can you freaking believe it!? It's plus three celsius out and it's raining. All I have to say is it better not melt all of our snow or I will be one unhappy girl Christmas day! Also I hear Santa is bringing the kids a sled!

Now back to my coat. It's old, it use to fit, but since Megan came into this world I have not been able to do it up. I can do it up now though, but it's snug. Soon though. Soon. Also I should mention that it's not just my winter coat, it's also my fall/spring coat. You know the type where the top layer comes off and there is a whole other coat underneath. Which is just all blue with a light blue strip across the back. Happy Friday everyone!

Ho Ho Ho

Connor and Megan visited Santa today! And if you look at my guestmap, Santa signed it today. How freaking cool is that!! I seriously have no idea who did that, but deep down I want to believe it really was the REAL Santa!

Happy Holidays everyone!

P.S.. I have been driving my family crazy listening to my most favourite Christmas song OVER and over and over and over... I even have a cd made of all different versions of it the "rock" one being my favourite. So now I have put it on my blog, so I can annoy the rest of the world too. HAAH, however... you can just turn your speakers down.

Laughter the best medicine?

Beth told me to "look at those cute faces of your kids and laugh.". How could you not giggle at these two! Who apparently are pretty darn excited about Christmas! Happy Holidays everyone.

If he keeps jumping on the couch like that Santa won't be coming to his town!

Bah HUMBUG!

It just wouldn't be Christmas if something didn't go wrong now would it? This happend a few days ago but I didn't want to dampen my Holiday Meme or my Blogiversary. Well remember that snow storm I was so blessed with? Yeah well Friday since everyone was sleeping, Connor was home from school with a sore throat, Megan suffering the sniffles and Adam worked all night. I decided I'd go shopping. The roads had been sanded and plowed so it was all good. Right? No. I back out of the driveway and there is about a foot and a half of snow and ice at the end. No problem I made it out. Get my shopping done as much as I could with having no money. I get home and tell Adam . You're never going to believe this but the fan(that blows the heat out) doesn't work. Yeah.. he said I know it only works on high. Great. And the car smells really bad of gas I say. Hmmm.

So fine all is okay we'll worry about it later. Well Saturday comes and we all get in the car to go to my mom's work Christmas party for the kids. We park have a good time and then when we get back to the car to go home, what do we find. A nice puddle of gas rolling down the parking lot. Lovely. We get home and call everyone we could think of to get the gas tank fixed. No such luck on a Saturday afternoon. Why is it that when you really need something done, the stores are closed? Okay fine. We leave the car in the driveway and thankfully we live with my grandparents and Adam can drive the truck to work on Sunday. Monday we bring the car in to get checked out/fixed. Canadian Tire couldn't assure us it would even be looked at that day so we bring it to the dealer. We get a call around noon Monday. Hi this is Chris from so and so and the car needs this blower thing and that gas tank and the lines from the tank and the brakes. Apparently when you backed out of the driveway you put holes in it all and it was all rusted out anyway. Your cost will be $800.00. And won't be ready till sometime Tuesday afternoon. Since we need gas to drive the car and brakes to stop the car and heat in this -17 Celsius, 1 degree Fahrenheit weather we have no choice but to give the okay. But did I mention we had no food in the house? Yeah Merry Freaking Christmas!

UPDATED:
well apparently it didn't need a whole new gas tank, just every stupid line going to it or whatever and it didn't cost $800.00 no the total cost was $836.and change.

Stupid car!

Holiday Meme

Holiday Getting to Know Me!
(Shamelessly stolen from Brighton)
Welcome to the2005 Holiday Edition of Getting to Know Your Friends!

Here's mine................

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate- with a bit of cream or milk in it. Egg-Nog-Only if ice cold.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? They are wrapped Santa also has his own handwriting on his own cards.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? White if I’m decorating. Coloured if Adam is!

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, only because I don't have any. If I had some I’d hang it.

5. When do you put your decorations up? Usually around November 15th however this year it was the beginning of December due to one little Megan Jean.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Mashed potatoes with gravy

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? The year my mom packed us up and we came to my grandmothers ( where I live now) for Christmas. We lived about three hours away from here. I was about 6 years old. I was worried Santa wouldn’t find us to bring me my cabbage patch kid.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Truth?? About what? Well actually I was about 11 or 12 maybe older. My mom just kind of put out our gifts without hiding anything. Christmas has never been the same since. Infact the first year I was married I had my brother come over and play “Santa” and put out our gifts for us. However I will always believe there actually is a Santa. Um why are we even discussing this??

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Well every Christmas Adam and I have been together so the past 14 years, we do Christmas with his family Christmas Eve. So yes. But only the exchanging of gifts with them. All our presents are to be opened as early as possible Christmas Day. However after I woke the kids up at 6am last year… and had to cranky kids all day. I’m going to let them wake up on their own. I’ll just make my coffee and sit by the lit tree and do my best not to touch anything.

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him? Chocolate Chip and according to Connor, Chocolate Milk.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I love the snow. I’m happiest when it’s snowing.

12. Can you ice skate? I most certainly can. Or could. I haven’t been on the ice in about 7 years. Sadly. I was going to buy kids skates this Christmas but wasn’t sure if I should try it with my hip the way it is.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Well besides my Cabbage Patch Kid. My mom got my brother and me a stereo when CD’s first came out. I still have that stereo and hope to pass it on to Connor.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Everyone being cheerful, and happy and together. Although it doesn’t happen that way too often. One day though. When I get my own house and my own traditions going.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Grasshopper Pie ... recipe upon request.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Meat Pies. My grandparents make meat pies every year and we’re not allowed to have a piece until Christmas Day. I have pictures at the bottom of this post of Connor helping my Nanny do them this year.

17. What tops your tree? I top my tree with an angel. Adam tops it with a star. So when we have all white lights we use our angel which also has white lights on it... When its coloured lights it’s a star lit with coloured lights. We alternate each year.

18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving? I love to give and to see the looks on people’s faces. I love to give them things to show them I love them. I really enjoy getting presents, but rarely do I get gifts with as much thought as I put in to the ones I give.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol? Carol of the Bells

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Original peppermint candy canes yum. Cherry, or blue or whatever other colour yuck.

That was a lot of fun. Let me know if you do it too so we can see your answers!

Connor and Nanny rolling the dough.

Ready for the oven!!

OH MY GOODESS!!

I'm SOOO excited. I just found out that WALMART has a CANADIAN website now!!

I can go through my flyer online by entering my postal code and I can even ORDER things online from there.

You have no idea how excited I am about this.

Well if you know me at all you do but still!!!

It's FRIDAY!!!

I'm very happy it's Friday today. Only because today is pay day. I can finally get my Christmas shopping finished. I have been buying Christmas presents since September and here I am only 9 days till Christmas and I'm no where near finished.

Friday is also Show and Tell

Deb wants to see our favourite ornament. I couldn't pick just one.

Connor and Megan's "Baby's First Christmas" ornaments 2001 and 2004

This is another one from Connor's first Christmas. This one is special to me because on the back is a little record button and I have his voice recorded when he was only 7 months old. I'll be very sad when it stops working. But I do have my loads of home videos to make up for that.

This candy cane I made myself. When I was in highschool. I took a class in which I was an aid for special needs kids in the school. My one student took a shop class, in which I got to participate in as well. I used the very fun big saw machine and cut it out of a plank of wood myself, and then I painted it. I will tell you this picture has been altered in only a small way. You see in the red bow there, when I got married I painted our last name on the bow in gold paint. So I took that out ;)

I don't know how I could have chosen just one. I also have plenty that my Aunt made for me out of ceramic. She use to give us one every year. She's not only my Aunt she's my Godmother, so I find them very special.

Now for an update on my crazy weather! It's STILL snowing. Yes that's right big huge fluffy white flakes filling the air. It's beautiful. Sorry my camera sucks so bad you can't enjoy it too, but so far we have had about 2 inches of snow 1 or so inches of ice and it's still coming down! I was up at 6am to change Megan's diaper and so I thought I'd listen to the radio to hear of any closures. I giggled when they said nothing was closed. I know every teenager in the area were hoping for the first snow day especially it being a Friday! Sorry kids outta luck. Bundle up and get your butt to school!

Connor on the other hand will probably stay home today anyway. He's not feeling well and has a sore throat and he's cold. He's wrapped up in a house coat and a fleece blanket with his slippers on and he's just feeling yuck. Only problem is that I was going to go Christmas shopping while he was in school. Oh well.

Connor has a doctors appointment on the 19th. See ever since he was a baby or I should say could walk and dance he complains of a sore side or chest or something. You know when you're dancing and you get a cramp after a long while. Well for a 2 year old that just shouldn't happen. Then when he was three he complained quite a bit about it. I told my doctor a few times about it but she just said to keep an eye on him. Well now last week when I picked him up from school, he told me he had a terrible day and that he had a chest ache. I asked what he'd been doing and he said nothing. So I asked his teacher and sure enough they were in the gym and she said he complained of a sore chest. I told her that he's had this problem since birth and I'm going to have it checked out. When I go to the doctor she better not utter the words to me "keep and eye on him" I want x-rays, ultra sounds and even echo and cardio tests done. I want to be 100% certain that there is no underlying problem somewhere. Anyone else out there have this problem with their child?

Still coming down!

It's 10pm and it's still coming down. A LOT of ice. If you look carefully you can see the branch of the tree is quite heavy and almost touching the ground. The car isn't all that fun to look at, It has been cleared off and driven since my last picture of it. But Adam had to work tonight. So he had to clear it off yet again. Snow isn't too much of a bother to clear off. But when there's a good 1/2 inch of ice under it it is a bit of a pain. I love how the snowflakes look like little firey balls zooming everywhere! Did I mention I have not seen a blue sky in about a month and a half! That's okay by me. I love the snow and I hope I don't jinx it but there are only 10 days left till Christmas. I just might get a white Christmas this year! Posted by Picasa

A better day

The kids were much better today. This morning I woke up at 7:30am that just never happens! Connor and I were at his school at 8:45am. I was in charge of three little ones on the JK/ SK trip to see Cinderella. It was cute. It was held at a university in a near by town and all the children enjoyed it. I was utterly amazed at how well behaved they all were. I was sitting in an auditorium of about 150 people the majority of them being 4 , 5 and 6 year olds. I could not believe how quiet it was. I can't believe I forgot my camera. Anyhow it went well. When we got home I made some vegetable soup for lunch and while Adam slept we watched some Christmas cartoons. I layed on the couch (no nap though) while the kids played. It was nice. When Adam woke up we went to walmart to buy a few Christmas presents with the CTB check that arrived a week early in the mail. I can now scratch off 3 names off my list of people to buy for :) YAY! Still so much to do though. Connor played out in the snow today. Even though it was about -18C he wanted to go. So I bundled him up and off he went. Stayed out there for a good 15 minutes too :)
Tonight I made a crock pot full of beans. My mother in law gave me the recipe and they are yummy!!! If you'd like the recipe let me know. We're going to their church tomorrow night for a potluck Christmas dinner. Should be fun. The kids went to bed nicely and I'm happy to report that Connor now has his 30 out of 30 points. He had it a few days ago but lost some points for hitting his sister and throwing things and screaming at the top of his lungs at me for reason I find to be unreasonable. Watched the movie Christmas with the Kranks tonight. It was really funny and I enjoyed it. Tomorrow night we're watching The Interpreter. Right now I'm off to bed. Goodnight!

P.S I can't remember who I got this countdown banner from.. I know it was someone of of Jenny's Journal blogroll. Just wanted to say thanks and if you click the banner it brings you to the site where you can choose one of your own.

Happy Holidays!

Being cute.... Sorry it's so dark

Quiz

Found this over at Lisa's..

The Lovers Card
You are the Lovers card. The Lovers card is about
union. Each of us carries in our DNA the
ability to be the opposite of what we think we
are. Often our romantic attachments grow out of
awe and respect as we see in another the
characteristics we repress in ourselves.
Society often presses us into molds of what it
thinks masculinity and femininity should be. As
a result, many of us associate with our gender
certain positive characteristics and call
others negative, when if these same qualities
were held by a person of the opposite sex, our
attitude towards them would be reversed.
Getting in touch with our inner animus and
anima, (Jung's terms for our inner male and
female), allows us to see the whole of our
personalities in a positive and constructive
light. When you draw The Lovers card in a
reading, you are working with balancing these
forces. Depending on where the card is, you
have either achieved balance or need to. The
Lovers could indicate a romantic or even a
platonic relationship. Ask yourself is this is
a positive relationship that contributes to
your growth as a complete human being, or if it
fills an emotional craving within you that is
actually detrimental to your personal growth.

Strange

Connor got his picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus yesterday at school. I got the picture back today *all pics clickable*As I was looking at it something struck me! Wait a minute I said. And I searched for something. Does anyone else find this strange?

First photo 6 months old taken ~Nov. 12, 2001 ~and ~4 years 7 months old~ in the second photo taken today.

These photos have not been altered in any way, and I promise you it is the exact same shirt. I did not buy a new one.

Show & Tell

It was 3:00pm before I realized it was Friday. I've gotta stop doing that! Today's show and tell I think was suppose to be a toy then it was decorations. I might be confused on that but no worries I have both.

Here are some ( not all) of the Christmas decorations in my house. **CLICK TO ENLARGE**

From top to bottom, left to right
1. The gingerbread tree we decorated as a family
2. My cute little elves sitting infront of the tree
3. One cool little elf
4. My favourite clock that lights up and sings a different Christmas carol every hour
5. Our kitchen
6. The top of our T.V cabinet
7. Our tree all lit up this year it's coloured lights and a star next year white lights and an angel
8. Connors first Christmas ornament
9. Mechanic first Christmas ornament
10. A drum ornament my brother gave me about 18 years ago or so it had earrings in it
11. A snowbabies ornament I got from my "aunt" that passed away
12. Our cookie jar
13. Over the sink
14. A night light in the bathroom
15. Snowflakes in the bathroom
16. The bottom of the bathroom cabinet
17. On the floor in the bathroom
18. The livingroom side table
19. Our tree from top to bottom and our stockings
20. The window holding the kids Baby's first Christmas stockings and all the cards we got so far
21. A Santa that sings and dances to "Santa Claus is Coming To Town"
"repeats"

There are many more things around, but I thought 21 things was enough ahaha.

And now for the toy. This is what Connor bought Megan for Christmas. He wanted to wrap it and put it under the tree. However she got a hold of it and well as you can see opened it. I got to it pretty quick and don't think she realizes that it was a toy. Connor was all disappointed but I assured him that I would wrap it back up and put it under the tree at Christmas so that she would get it.

Happy Holidays everyone!

I survived!

Today I worked at the Christmas Bazaar at Connor's school. It was a lot of fun, and I was nervous for nothing. The people were great and I was surprised to see that it was pretty much all JK moms working the stations. All of us that stand outside and wait for our child to get in the school each day. The kids at the school are great. Very polite every one of them, and very well behaved. They went from spot to spot spending their tickets and I heard I'm going to have to say 10 out of 10 of them say thank you each time. It's so nice to have such a friendly school family. I was in charge of the duck pull. One ticket you get to pick a duck. Turn it over look at the number win that many prize tickets. It was either a 1 or a 2. I had one kid come and spend all of his tickets at the duck pond! Adam and my Mom brought Megan and they put their names in for the penny table. I'm not sure yet if we won anything or not. But my kids sure brought home a good haul of prizes :) as you see there. When I got home with Connor I was zonked. We got some McDonalds for dinner and then Adam left for work. I was so happy that both kids were very well behaved tonight and played nice and quiet while I sat on the couch and watched them( and played a bit too) Both kids went to bed without a fight and before 8pm :) What am I going to bribe them with when Santa has come and gone? Speaking of Santa... Connor had his picture taken at school today with Santa and Mrs. Claus he told them what he wanted for Christmas. I was finished with the bazaar and out in the hall waiting for Connor when the secratary calls out to me. You're Connor's mom aren't you? I replied with yes and a little puzzled look thinking "uh oh what's wrong" She laughs and says to me " You're never going to guess what Connor asked Santa for today" I giggled and said a vacuum? She laughed and says yes. But not just any vacuum... he wants a dirt devil vacuum! I said Oh yes.. I know, he's been asking for a vacuum ever since he could talk. See two years ago when he was 2 his grandparents got him a red toy dirt devil vacuum. It's all he wanted. Back then he called it a "Nah" So last year when it broke he was heart broken. And now all he wants from Santa is a vacuum. Silly kid. What four year old boy do you know asks Santa for a cleaning appliance! Actually you would be amazed at some of the things he comes up with!

UPDATE!!

I found this over at The Other Side I too am

jkkh
Aww...you are the plant of love! You are the
mistletoe! You are a loving, romantic person
who likes to do what is best for the one or
ones you care about mostly. You are very
affectionate and enjoy being close to people.
You believe that love brings you together,
which is a wonderful thing. You are most likely
going to have a very nice and marvelous season.
Your inventive mind could come up with anything
interesting to do. Merry Christmas =)

Thirteen Things about Jennifer

1…. I can't believe that it's already Thursday. My four day get away busy weekend has messed me all up!

2. The US postal system is pretty darn fast. I got word today that Kate and Jayleigh both recieved their Christmas cards that I sent on Saturday. If I would have mailed them from home they would have taken much longer to get there.

3. Right now I'm very thirsty. But I can't have my morning coffee or a glass of juice. I'm going to have an ultrasound on my liver in about 20 minutes and I need an empty stomache.

4. The reason I'm having the ultrasound is to check up on the hemangioma I have on my liver.

5. My cousins came to visit me yesterday. My one cousin has a new baby. She's only 8 weeks old and very very cute. It was so nice to sit and hold a non wiggling whining for this and that baby.

6. I went through all the Christmas presents that I have got already. I still need to buy quite a bit more. But from what I can tell right now. Connor is going to be one happy little boy on Christmas Morning :)

7. I'm still not finished painting. I still have some touch ups to do and it's taking forever. I'll have pictures of all rooms when I'm done.

8. I haven't been sleeping well. My head is full of stress. I'm having bad dreams and when I wake up my nose is stuffed from the dry air in here.

9. Right now it's -16C outside which is 3F and I'm going out in 20minutes with my hair wet. My mother would always yell at me when I was young not to do that.

10. Don't forget Survivor is on tonight!! ( That's more of a reminder for me then for you but anyways :)

11. We have new neighbours did I tell you? Bald guy is gone. The house close to Connor's school has been sold too. I was really hoping to win the lottery so I could buy it. Oh well.

12. Only 16 more days until Christmas Eve!

13. After my appointment this morning, I'm going to be working the Christmas Bazaar at Connor's school. I'm really looking forward to it and hope that I do okay with money considering I have a learning disability in math. Wish me luck!!

My brother

He's very strong
He's sensitive
He's caring
He's funny
He use to think he was superman and would try to blow me away
He use to dress up my barbies with little capes and fly them around the house
He now knows how to fly an airplane
He was always such a shy boy in school
Then when he got to highschool I was suprised of all the friends he had
My brother loved our dogs very very much
He cried for weeks when it was their time.
I love that sensitive side of my brother
My brother can Karate chop you I think he might have his black belt
He use to use Karate on me all the time when we were kids
When we were very young and go shopping with my mom he would stand between us to make sure I didn't get lost
When we were older he was always looking out for me
I've always called him my little big brother
Many people think we are twins
My brother can kick your brother's ass at playstation!
My brother can also kick Emeril Lagasse's ass at cooking!
He also owns a gun and know how to use it. He got two deer this past hunting trip
I can remember seeing my brother mow the lawn at a very young age
He's a strong swimmer too but once he wasn't.
I saved him in a pool once
We use to go boating and fishing he was afraid of the seaweed in the lake
Probably still is
My brother can stand out fishing for hours and hours even if he didn't catch a thing
He's very patient
I've always thought of my brother as a "protector"
He once knocked the lights out of my dad because my dad hurt me
Sometimes I think he thinks he's Jean Claude
At the age of 8 my brother was lifting weights as heavy as 90 lbs maybe?
He's the guardian of my children if anything were to happen to Adam me or my mom
He's smart
He's better at Math then I am
He's very talented
He's very special to me and I'm very happy that we've grown up together as close as we have. I hope and pray that it will stay that way for all the years to come.

Today my brother turns 26

Happy Birthday Ronnie

I Love You Always!

Just stopping in

Depeche Mode was awesome! We had such a great time. I was the lucky guesser on the opening song. Pain. Actually they played almost all of my favourite songs. We had great seats and had a lot of fun. When we got back to the hotel from the concert we watched a movie called War of the Worlds. It was alright. The snow was piling up so we headed home early this morning. We had our parent teacher interviews today and are very pleased with what Connor's teacher had to say. He does his work well and nice and neat, he knows his alphabet and can count to 20 and all that good stuff. He plays well with the other kids he listens. Um.. She was talking about MY kid right?? Hmmm. The only concerns were that he does cover his ears when he finds the class too loud ( most kids would) he makes grunting/growling noises when he's frustrated and the other kids tell on him, and the teacher deals with the situation. He's doing this instead of grabbing the toy, or hitting and fighting. For me... he can make all the gruting noises he wants. But does have to learn to ask the kids for things, and if they say no, then to move on to other things. We'll work on that.

Oh my gosh I'm so so soooo tired. I could fall asleep sitting here. My brain has been going non stop and I still have so much to do yet. We have to be on the road to Michigan at 5 o'clock in the morning. Which is 12 hours fron right now. I still have packing to do, things to clean, find an outfit for the wedding and figure out if we are sleeping here or at Adam's parents tonight. Have a great weekend!!
