Like any project things start to snowball. You start one thing and then another needs this or that right. Well that's fine, but when things start needing done because of the laziness of others that's when I get mad.
We dug up all that dirt, put it on the truck then tried to take it to the landfill, well they charge now to do that and Adam wouldn't pay. Which I understand, but I get home and find my dad and my grandfather and Adam putting all that dirt with all those weeds into a "garden". My Papa of course because he was lazy made the garden much larger on the one side then it was on the other like this
I know it's hard to tell but the damn thing almost went up to my knees and it's so crooked and the wood doesn't match and it's full of weeds and big chunks of crappy grass and big freaking rocks and it just drove me nuts.
By then it was too late for me to do anything about it because it was done. But my super awesome husband helped me! He took it apart and put it back together for me! I didn't like it there at all, but if it had to be then it has to look somewhat okay.
We moved all the extra dirt to the back corner of the yard where nothing grew anyway. I raked out all the wet leaves and crap. What you can't see in this picture below is the other side of that tree which is a big huge pile of boards that need to be cut up and put nicely in the corner or in a bin or something. So it's still no where near being done.
but it's a start. We spread it out and rolled it and will figure out what do do with it later. So just to recap..... dirt about a 10X10 area and about 4 inches deep...to truck, from truck to side of yard, from side of yard to back corner. That's a lot of freakin shoveling!!
It's still not straight, but it's better then it was. I might still be able to pound it straight we'll see.
There is still too much dirt in this garden and since it was all that rotten soil that grew noththing, it'll be interesting to see if Papa's garden will actually grow tomatoes, and who knows what else he's going to plant and leave for me to take care of.
I don't even want to start about the actual " lawn" if you want to call it that. I'll get the gravel area done first and see. Then I also got a call from Beth who was suppose to come on June 16th for a visit, and her flight got cancelled because of stupid Orbitz and everything was all messed up. So try to rearrange plans with her. I'm just so happy that she's still going to come. It's going to be a lot more rushing and driving on my part, but we'll manage somehow. We won't be staying in Peterborough as long as we planned though, but again... that's okay.

They caught the garter and the bouquet at our cousins wedding on Saturday and were engaged today!!! So it looks like I have another wedding to go to next year! YAY... only more exciting is that I will be IN the wedding :)
