We had a nice anniversary. It was about as hot on our 8th as it was on our actual wedding day. If you were here you'd know that is HOT. About 104F or so yuck. So we spent the day swimming at Adam's parents. Connor is becoming a very strong swimmer. He's been swimming without any assistance for about two years now, and now he's trying the tricks.... diving, somersaults, cannon balls, he mostly likes to swim in the deep end now and we're working on just floating and relaxing. The boys a stone like his daddy.

Megan is doing great too. This is her first year swimming without assistance. However it's not me who's been teacher her it's Grandpa. She stands on the steps and jumps/swims out to him. She mostly swims under water. Usually we are camping for our anniversary, since we're not, it was nice to just laze around the pool.




Connor has graduated from Kindergarten. I was so proud of him. I'm not sure if you remember this, but he would not do anything but cry when he was up in front of people. Well not this time. He walked up there with a smile on his face, he sang and did the actions to the song. The huge smile on his face stayed up there, he waved and winked at us and gave us the thumbs up. Of course I was the one in tears now. He was asked by his teacher what he wanted to be when he grew up. Normally he'd say he wants to work with whales, but that time he says.. " I want to print the newspaper like my daddy" that I'm sure sent Adam's heartstrings for a ride. It was a lovely little ceremony and he did amazing. He got a good report card, which then means we get to go to McDonalds for dinner. So proud of him





Look what I learned how to do :) Beth taught me when she was here. So much fun. Now I'm addicted more then ever to editing my photos. I've also started 365 on my flickr site. I'm not sure how that will go, but I'll do my best.

We're going to the zoo tomorrow. I'll see how many fun pictures I can get to play with from there!

Wow it's been awhile!

Beth and I had a great visit

Five days is just not long enough
The kids miss her a lot
I miss her a lot
One day we will see each other again

Today Connor is graduating from Sr. Kindergarten
I expect there will be tears
Only this time they will be mine

Today Adam and I have been married for 8 years
I nearly forgot it was our anniversary
I've been too excited about Connor's graduation and having Beth here

Tomorrow... Megan will visit the dentist for the first time
That is not going to be a pleasant trip

I'm a Happy Camper!

You all remember me wanting this for mother's day... well. I got one FINALLY! Sure it's not the same one I wanted, but it will do

The kids wrapped and gave Adam his present bright and early this morning.
They got him a clamp on reading lamp for our bedroom. So that he can read at night without having to get up and turn off the lamp in the corner of the room. Since I have been unable to find THIS anywhere. We don't have a credit card, so we can't order it online. But I gotta tell ya.. It's a pain in the butt to get up and down to turn off or on the light. Lazy maybe.. but it sucks. So now Adam has a light. We spent the day the way Daddy wanted. Lazing in front of the TV watching movies. They watched Charlotte's Web. And I don't know what else because I fell asleep for a few hours. When I finally woke up we went to Arby's for dinner. Then we came home and Adam had to go to work. Now the kids are watching TV and I'm sitting around relaxing in the air conditioning. It's very hot out 28C feels like temp is 33 which is 91F. Tuesday is suppose to go up to 100F. I think tomorrow I might set up the kids pool for them.

I really should be cleaning the house or something. My friend is coming on Wednesday to stay for five days. But I'm pretty sure she's not going to care whether or not my house is spotless right? I mean, of course I'll give her clean bed sheets, and make sure the house is tidy. But is she really going to care if I scrub the floors behind the stove or fridge? Or make sure every finger print is wiped off the TV or door? How many of you MUST have the house spotless for when you have company? Or how many of you are like me and are with the attitude that this is me, this is how I live, take it or leave it?

I'm very tired and I don't feel like cleaning. Our neighbours cut down their tree on Friday. So Saturday all day we spent helping them clean it up. It was a huge tree too. Adam used the saw while T ran the brush to the dump, and K and I loaded up the trucks, and I did mostly raking. My arms are very very sore. Oh and did I tell you I fell the other day? I twisted my ankle on the sidewalk from our steps and down I went and scraped my knee.
It's hard to see how red it is. But it hurts and every time I bend my knee the scabs break open a bit. I'm just happy I didn't hurt my back. Because I didn't get to the chiropractor this past week.

Now it's 7pm and almost bedtime for the kids. Connor still has school. His last day is the 27th. So I'm hoping that I will still be able to get some sleep tonight since I had such a long nap this afternoon.

Reason # 626 why my kids have the best daddy in the world

Working from 9pm to 6am, then being at school for 8:30am for a field trip today with Connor and his class.

Friggen Fridge

You all remember I got a new fridge right? I was super excited. Have wanted/needed one for a very long time now. Well we got one. And the freezer and the fridge door banged together when opened at the same time. So the place we bought it from sends a repair person. He couldn't fix it, had to order a new freezer door and some parts. A month later still not fixed, and now is making an awful squeaking noise. They're coming tomorrow to finally fix THIS...

Craziness

The last two days it's been so cold about 45F or so and we needed jackets/sweaters and pants and socks. Today it's 33C or 91F we just got back from spending the day at the pool and it's time for dinner. Hotdogs ( not my favourite) and salad. I'm too tired to cook!

Tomorrow night though... I'm kid free Woohoo!

Things that piss me off

~People who let their 9ish year olds wander the streets and go to McDonalds to fool around and get in trouble, act silly and then after sit on their bikes in a very busy parking lot and litter.
~People who walk in front of me, push me out of the way as if I'm invisible while shopping
~People who lie and even more when people who make things up as they go along in a conversation
~People who don't think being a SAHM is a real "job" and that it's one of the hardest jobs there is
~ People who should give people credit and or be proud of them for what they've accomplished instead of think badly of them and put them down
~People who don't stand up for themselves
~People who all of a sudden just don't seem to care whether you're there or not
~People who yell at people for doing things that they do themselves
~Can you tell I don't like people very much
~The fact that I can not find one decent pair of p.j's
~ The fact that it's now 11C when the other day it was in the 30's
~The fact that nobody seems to recognize the good things we do, and focus on the bad
~ The fact that I can not find a nice light weight white t-shirt that isn't too see through

Well.. glad I got that off my chest this morning, maybe now I can have a better day.

June Already?

Where does the time go to? Actually May went by rather slow. I think that is a good thing. June is here and the hot weather to go with it. So much happening this month. Friends coming to visit, family picnics, our anniversary, field trips, graduation and the end of yet another school year. Yes my boy is graduating kindergarten. How the hell did that happen? Do you all remember how crazy I was of the fact that he was starting school!

It's a rainy day today, more cloudy then rain, but whatever. I'm going to attempt to clean the kids rooms today. As of right now there isn't much walking room in there.
