When blog friends become real life friends :)
What a great weekend. It's so much fun meeting fellow bloggers. I haven't really chatted with Jody much in real life, other then facebook and blogging. I think the first time I ever actually spoke with her on the phone was about a half hour before they arrived! But none the less she was exactly what I expected what you see on her blog is what you get sort of deal. They certainly do have two of the most adorable kids on the planet. Princess Brenna made her arrival quite the royal one.

She and Miss Megan headed straight for the dress up clothes :) Connor was worried he was going to be left out with three girls, but Brenna and Connor got a long great. Jody has some pictures of that. I didn't seem to get any.
After we got accuainted and Jody stopped beating up her kid (LOL) just kidding... we headed to the Falls for some touristy fun. We parked at the Fallsview Casino, because I am a dork, and thought my players advantage card would get us free parking, but it didn't. No big deal though. The kids enjoyed the huge fountain. While I looked around for coupon books. They had moved them since the last time I was there.

Then everyone got a first look at the falls. It was a beautiful day out. Warm, sunny and the Mist was kind enough to stick around just one part of the falls. Some days you go down there and you get wet the whole time you're there.

It seems we have ignored the "danger" signs in this picture, but when down by the actual falls there was NO way we'd let them climb up like that.

It was such a lovely day for a walk in the park. Lucky Caelan got to ride! After the skywheel, we had lunch at Boston Pizza and mmm mmm mmm was it good. For dessert.....

ICE CREAM!!! Yet another reason we don't go to Niagara Falls too often. Can you imagine $18.00 for THREE ice cream cones??? Yeah they were good, but not THAT good!

The falls are really quite something to see. If you've never been there you should go. Summer is nice, but winter and spring are remarkable as you can see.

I'm really glad that Doug and Adam got along so well. I don't know what the confusion was about, but I am guessing that by this time the kids have had enough, maybe they were deciding which direction to dump my brats... lol

I see Adam figured it out :)

After 6 or so hours of walking and walking, the kids had had enough. My kids were so rotten I am surprised that Jody and Doug stuck around and didn't just get a hotel anyway! Nope, instead we decided that it would be best to just stay home for dinner and bbq. So Jody and I went to the grocery store and picked up some things, we had sausages on the bbq and salad. I now know why Fab Food Friday is so Fabulous! Jody decided to whip up a yummy tortellini salad. How awesome is she eh? Comes to visit and COOKS for us! She really didn't have to, but I'm so glad she did. It was VERY tasty! For breakfast we had baked french toast with strawberries and cantelope Mmm Mmmm mmm! Sadly I didn't get a pic of that. It was amazing!

The kids had fun in the morning outside while we all got up and ready. It was very sad having them leave. The kids (once not suffering from extreme exhaustion) got a long so well, and had a great time together. Don't worry kids we'll see them again... someday somehow. :)

I'm glad they enjoyed Niagara. I'm happy they had time to stop and visit. I hope to see them again someday too :)
